Welcome to my classroom.
This is my first year teaching in Ballinger, as well as being a teacher. I have been a substitute for over five years here in Texas and in Michigan where my three youngest children and I lived for four years. I am certified to be a Social Studies teacher but I majored in FCS in college. I have four children total ages ranging from 27 to 13. Two girls and twin boys, plus four furries that have a huge chunk of my heart as well.
I was born and raised in Fort Worth. I lived there until family reasons took us to Michigan in the summer of 2013. My sons started and graduated from Lakeview High School in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. We moved back home to Ft. Worth in June of 2017 and then I accepted the FCS Teacher position here at Ballinger High School in August, 2018.
I love Star Trek, Star Wars, Michigan Wolverines, Green Bay Packers, cooking and baking and I absolutely love teaching my students new ideas, new lessons, and challenging them every day to do their very best.
My children, my four dogs: Logan, Bo Duke, Luke Duke and Cooper Jethro, are my life along with my students.
I feel like Ballinger is my home and I am excited to continue teaching my students to become life long learners!
