Ballinger High School Principal
My name is Leslie Griffis and it is an honor and blessing to be beginning my third year as the principal at Ballinger High School and 5th year in Ballinger. I attended Texas Tech University and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and obtained a Master of Education in Educational Administration degree from Angelo State University.
On a personal level, I am a family-oriented individual. My family consists of myself, my loving husband Will, sons Chase, Gaines, and Jonathan. Chase and Gaines are excited to be part of the Ballinger tradition in Ballinger Elementary and Junior High. Jonathan will be joining the Ballinger crew as a JH teacher and coach this year.
As a principal, I seek to foster an environment in which we have high expectations for our students’ behavior, effort and academic achievement. We will challenge our students to take ownership in their learning and to invest in their own future. Additionally, we have high expectations for our teachers and staff. We expect them to design and provide an engaging and innovative learning environment where our students are encouraged to be creative and collaborative. It is our goal to prepare students to be successful in a global workforce. It will take all of us, faculty, parents, community, and students to ensure our students' ultimate success. I ask that you please contact me if you have questions or concerns. I am truly here to serve our students and community!
