It is my pleasure to serve as the high school counselor for BHS. This is my 13thyear in education. I spent the first 10 years of my career as a special education teacher and then a special education instructional coach before pursuing a career in counseling. I earned my master’s degree in counseling from Angelo State University.
My husband and I have 2 amazing children, Avery (16) and Drew (11). In my free time, I enjoy traveling, keeping up with my favorite bloggers, running, and spending time outdoors with my friends and family.
I love being a counselor because it gives me the opportunity to guide students during a very impressionable time in their lives. From social emotional growth to college and career exploration, it’s fun to be a part of such an exciting time. I believe that every student has the need to feel cared for, capable, and connected, so it’s my passion to help students do just that! I look forward to building positive relationships with students, parents, staff, and the community. I feel privileged to be apart of your child’s academic career. It’s great to be a Bearcat!!
